HDB Apartment in Serangoon
This is a large HDB apartment for a young couple. To avoid dark corners in the interior, glass panels are used to allow light as well as to demarcate different functional spaces. The kitchen is enclosed by fixed glass panels with black timber frames to bring out a strong contrast. This accentuation transforms the kitchen into a centrepiece. An study space is located beside the kitchen, and while open it allows privacy for work with ample natural light. The project was completed in July 2014.
